सुशांत सिंह राजपूत के असामयिक निधन के बाद सोशल मीडिया पर छेड़ी गई भाई-भतीजावाद पर बहस के बाद सोनम कपूर तूफान की चपेट में थीं। And आयशा ’की अभिनेत्री को सोशल मीडिया पर अभद्र संदेश मिले और उसने सोशल मीडिया पर टिप्पणियों को अक्षम करने का फैसला किया। एक इंस्टाग्राम स्टोरी में, सोनम ने साझा किया था, “हां मैंने अपने कमेंट्स सेक्शन और अपने माता-पिता के कॉमेंट सेक्शन को बंद कर दिया है क्योंकि मैं नहीं चाहती कि मेरे 64 साल के माता-पिता इससे गुजरें। उन्होंने इसके लायक कुछ भी गलत नहीं किया। और मैं यह नहीं कर  रही हूं कि आप डर से बाहर निकले, मैं इसे अपने सामान्य स्वास्थ्य और अपने माता-पिता के संरक्षण के लिए कर  रही हूं। "

जहां सोनम कपूर टिप्पणियों को बंद करने का चयन करती हैं, वहीं सोनाक्षी सिन्हा ने अपने ट्विटर अकाउंट को निष्क्रिय कर दिया है। ““ मैंने खुद को ट्विटर से दूर कर लिया और नकारात्मकता से दूर। कुछ लोग ऐसे मना रहे हैं जैसे उन्होंने कुछ जीता है ... im happy for you, tum lag raha hai na ... lagne do, kisi ko koi farak nahi padh raha। लेकिन इसका सामना करना पड़ता है, मैंने अपने जीवन में अपमान और दुर्व्यवहार के प्रत्यक्ष स्रोत को काट दिया है। मैंने आपकी शक्ति को छीन लिया है जो यह कहने में सक्षम है कि आप मुझे, मेरे परिवार और मेरे दोस्तों को क्या चाहते हैं। मैंने उस तक पहुंच बना ली है जो आपने मुझे दी थी, जो मैंने आपको इतने भरोसे के साथ दी थी। तो यहाँ केवल एक विजेता है। मुझे, ”सोनाक्षी ने इंस्टाग्राम पर साझा किया था।

How i got myself off twitter and away from the negativity 😂 Some people are celebrating like they won something... im happy for you, tumhe laga raha hai na... lagne do, kisi ko koi farak nahi padh raha. But lets face it, ive cut the direct source of insult and abuse in my life. Ive taken away YOUR power to be able to say whatever it is that you want to me, my family and my friends. Ive taken away that access you had to me, that i had given you so trustingly. So theres only one winner here. Me. Your negativity has never served me or my life, which is why it literally took a snap of a finger to get rid of a following of 16 million people which ive garnered over the last ten years. Just like that. And im better off for it. I wish all those haters and trolls lots of love and healing, or you can continue with the hate but please know it’ll NEVER reach me. Accha ab yeh chakkar mein i know the people who love me are caught up too... please know that your love and support is what has kept me going all this while, and it always will! And I request you all to keep spreading that love and light wherever you go and to as many people as you can. Because Love is the answer. Always ❤️
