The third seer of the Amazon webseries, Patal Lok, is accused of raising the image of the Sikh community. In this case, notice has been sent to Anushka Sharma and Amazon Prime Videos by the Punjab-Haryana High Court.

Producer Anushka Sharma's Amazon Webseries Patal Lok has been in the news a lot these days for many reasons. The recently released webseries 'Patal Lok' is getting much appreciation but it is not able to escape from the controversies too. Now notice has been sent to producer Anushka Sharma from Punjab-Haryana High Court regarding the third episode of this show. Actually, a series of petitions have been filed alleging that this series has tarnished the image of the Sikh community, on which the court has sent a notice to the actress seeking an answer.
The court sent a notice to the makers in this case on Monday. The petitioner has raised objections to the history of the third episode of the show, which is based on the story of a village in Punjab.
Advocate Gurdpinder Singh Dhillon has said in his petition that the web series has deliberately and maliciously tried to tarnish the image of Sikhs. According to reports, the producers of Patal Lok have been accused of defaming Sikhs in its third episode. It shows how Sikh communities oppressed Dalits and backward castes. Apart from this, it has also been shown sexually harassing a woman by Sikhs.
Let me tell you that before this, Patal Lok was accused of hurting the feelings of the people of Nepali and North East. After this, BJP MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar had also filed a complaint against it. The MLA said that his picture has been morphed with a criminal type character and derogatory terms have been used for Gurjar caste. The MLA has also demanded imposition of Rasuka against producer Anushka Sharma.
